as in nothing nothing? if you charge the battery, does it start?
the BSI may have been cooked if it wasnt shut down and started up properly agian.

Don't despair.
Check the earth strap (-ve lead) which bolts on to the transmition/chassis.
If it was already loose it could have finaly given-in when the battery
was disturbed while replacing.

Well my dad came to look at it while i was at work, and he started it just fine... so i have no idea what was going on when i came to start it earlier on in the day.
Also when i tried to start it and got nothing as i went to lock it, it wouldnt lock so had to lock it manually with the key, and the same again when i tried to open it again...
but as i say its starting fine again now.

Yeah there was absolutely nothing.... but as i just said above, my dad later on in the day started it fine...

Get him to trace the negative lead coming from the battery to
where it joins onto the car transmition housing or chassis, and
make sure its bolted-on really tight.

there's not a ratterlig in the key is there?
If there is your Imboliser chip may have come out of place so you cant lock or start the car.
