wikipedia has the engine numbers for peugeot, citreon etc....

im not sure what you mean by looking up engine numbers. the engines used inthe 206 are on the right en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peugeot_206

The engine will be a TU3JP or a TU3A The engine number is on the left hand side of the cylinder block. The first three numbers will be the engine code, and it should be the same as the 6th, 7th and 8th letters of your VIN number.

just because it was originally a 1.4 someone could of put a 1.6 tu lump in check the engine number located where lee says

Having problems seeing where i need to look, The isnt much room to look around these TU engines in a 206..... My old XU lump in the 205 had loads of room to see things. Any pics to show me the right way would be appreciated?
