3 months ago I fitted a 180 axle as my 138 one had given up the ghost.
A month later I lowered the rear.
A week or so later the car developed an odd knocking.
Driving straight there in no noise, even on bumpy roads.
But turning left will knock, if turning left again there will be NOTHING...
As soon as I turn right, it will knock again.
Strange huh??
Sounds like something is knocking in and out (a guess!) as it won't knock on more than one turn left untill I turn right, and the same viceversa.
Any suggestions?
Many thanks
Ben

Rear axle is FUBAR.
In other words, the bushes are worn.

when you fit the 180axle, have you renew the bearing before you put the axle on?

sure you havnt left anything loose just double check shock bolts, arb bolts etc
i know it sounds silly but before you assume the worst it pays to check the simple things

Well, saying that, I did swap them from my old axle as otherwise I'd have an abs fault.
I'll strip it down and investigate asap.
