2 types of ABS sensor & pickups used, parts are not interchangeable.

Are the replacement parts an exact match for the original parts?

Is the airgap for the sensor set correctly?

I changed the rear axle and i think the axle i got was preplex but the car is multiplex so i changed hubs and sensors for multiplex but the gap seems different on both sides but i thought the sensors weren't sided.Looks like an expensive trip to Peugeot dealer to sort Sad

Try adjusting the right hand wheel sensor so the air gap matches the one on the other side.

same fault has just appeared on my friends 55 reg 2.0hdi - with the front offside sensor being the culprit.

is it a 2 minute plug and play job with a new sensor? i can clear the fault myself.

First check the toothed ring isnt broken on the driveshaft.

If the ring is cracked / broken it will flag up a sensor fault.

Peugeot main dealer if you actually need a new sensor, sensors are shockingly cheap for multiplexed 206's Wink

yeh i told her if need be, to get the part from pug as i believe it is about £30?

will probably be done at a garage in the morning as i don't have the time for a few days, and understandably she doesn't like a flashing STOP sign with two kids in the car!
