I <3 the smell of petrol

Sounds like a fuel leak tbh. Check your pipes [or get a friend to do it if you are nervous] Very Happy

ive had this on 306

simple one to fix, if its same problem

let fuel tank go very low on fuel,
lift back seat.
lift black rubber cap
that is where the fuel tank is, also where the fuel pump and gauge is, if its wet, thats where ya problem is, IF its dry, cover it back up and look else where!
if you unscrew the huge nut, the plastic thing with fuel pump and gauge will lift out, carefull it'll be covered in fuel, NO SMOKING.
there is a large black rubber seal that should be around the plastic thing that holds the pump,
this might have slipped half way down the plastic case, so fuel now escapes. all ya do, is either go buy new one from pug "advised" or just pull seal up to the top of the case making sure its a snug fit, then lower it all back into tank, making sure its a good seal, then grab that huge nut, and do her up. jobs a good un

Are you sure it was coming in the car, and you not stepped in a puddle or anything.

Does sound like little fuel leak.
