Hi All,

My 206 doesnt smoke or leak oil but I have to top it up every month or so.

Is this normal?

Yes that's normal. They do eat quite a bit of Oil.

Its about right for a 180 I think. They use a lot of oil from what I've read.

was told they use on average between a litre and half a litre every 1000 miles by peugeot
i find mine burns about a litre in 2.5k miles

Sounds about right ^

Think it varies on how often you fire the car up, how hard you push the car, length of journeys and so on...

Think the VVT burns most of the oil off too.

VVT just alters the cam timing...has nothing to do with burning oil.
