Im not too good with the mechanics side of cars so i need some advice/ help.

My 206 is making a noise when i lift the clutch whether im in neutral or in gear, the only time its not making a noise is when i put my foot all the way on the clutch.

Is this the clutch release bearing?

Also, if it is do i need to replace it ASAP, or can i wait a month until i have more money to get it sorted.

Cheers for any help you can give.

Liam

What kind of noise is it?

Is it squeeking? If so mines been squeeking about 2-3 months and my thrust bearing needs doing so it'll probly be okay to leave untill its financially viable for you.

hard to explain the noice im getting, i wouldnt say it was a squeaking sound. The best i can explain is that it kind of sounds like a really quiet rev :S

Sounds like the thrust/release bearing. Replace the whole clutch though.

Can't gaurantee it, but the thrust bearing can rumble for ages. In an ideal world you'd change it asap, but it should be fine to leave it a while.

My bearing failed in a spectacular fashion. Squeeled once then next time I started the car it was fine until this....

and it took the trumpet out for the grear box input shaft too....

Do yourself a favour and get it swapped out - do the clutch as a 3piece kit as it's a pain in the ass to do so better to get it all done while in there. My bearing had also eaten into the pressure plate springs so had to replace it all anyway.

If you do not try you will NEVER succeed!
