earlier today i pulled the leaver to get someone in the back of my gti and then when the seat went back to normal posisition it mades its usual noises but now the seat will only recline it wont sit up right and the handle you ussually pull forward to make the chair go forward will only go backwards??

i know something must of miss lodged in the seat somewhere but just wondering if someone knows what has gone so i dont have to strip the whole seat down

Sounds like you pushed the lever backwards away from the dash board.

Try holding the lever back until you get it to the correct recline angle, then release the lever back to normal. Hopefully the seat mechanism will now lock in place again.

Then to slide the seat back and forwards, push and hold the lever towards the dashboard.

Lever pushed back = adjust the recline angle of the backrest
Lever pushed forward = slides seat backwards and forwards on its runners

Hope that helps!

Mine did the same thing at 7pm. I just used the lever between the seats and it sorted itself out. Will get my head under it in daylight to make sure everything is tight.
