I had to replace a headlight and both of the electric adjusters were working fine . Now the headlight that I replaced the adjuster motor is workings I can hear it but it won't move the light beam up or down .. Cars sitting in the drive right now with the headlight out and I need this sorted for the morning ... Is there a certain way these go in ? Also one headlight is miles up and the other is miles down Sad need this sorted aswell as that's all it failed it's mot on ... How much up/ down movement can you get from the adjusters ? Many thanks for any help

Sounds like you've either snapped the ball off the end, or you haven't put the ball in the white socket on the headlamps.

Not really, should just slot in.

You can tilt the lense with your fingers to bring it closer to ensure you can slot it in

If the adjuster is wound out as far as possible then you should just be able to maneuver and slide it in

Make sure it's fully extended using the allen key type bit on the adjuster. Then make sure the headlight fitting is right at the closest end to you in the 'tunnel' you literally have to slide it into place with a bit of force. BUT NOT TOO MUCH! & a bit of twisting into place & voila.

well thats one problem sorted ... fixed the adjuster on the off side and brought the lamp into line and on the near side the bulb was in upside down .unfortunately the plastic holder was melted (previous owner no doubt ) and the bulb was stuck solid so i had to use a screwdriver to prize the bulf off and accidentaly blew the bulb ... i replaced the bulb but thr lamp still wont light so its either a duff second hand bulb from another light i had or av blown a fuse somewhere ??
