hey guys Shocked

whats the best oil i can put in my 2001 206 gti 2.0?

halfords suggest this stuff??...Castrol Edge Sport 0W40 Oil?

also does it matter if the old stuff mixes with it?just generic synthetic garage oil in at the mo,but looks a little low

top up with the s***ty stuff until its service time and you can drain it all out, then fill up with the premium stuff. dont use premium oil with budget oil its a waste of money

For the cost, personally i'd have the oil changed for some decent stuff. whats it going to cost, £50? i'd rather do that and no it was right. I use 10w60 but that would probably be a little excessive for road use. valvoline 10w40 is cheap and pretty good
This 206 IS going on a trackday despite it's every effort to stay at home in the garage!

I use 10w 40w and change my oil and filter every 5,000 miles

5w40 is the one Peugeot recommend.
