as title, i had the radio off and noticed when i was parking and turned the steering wheel there was a 'clunk'

not too loud but enough to know it isn't right - i only seems to be noticable at low speeds though

any ideas? its a 206 GTi 2002

onI have the same problem on my 180 mate. Was told it was the drive shaft joints knackered but when it went to the garage, they said there was nothing wrong with them. Still dont know what the noise is. Am guessing it can only be the steering rack.
They could of made it 200bhp!!

yeah top mounts, i had this not long ago.
New car 2011 / Thoruim grey , 207 1.4 Vti 16v Sport 95bhp , tinted rear windows.

Old car 2000/ 206 2.0 hdi.

check the spring on each front side havnt snapped.
2.0 hdi 90
challenger alloys
-40mm spax shocks and springs

will either be top mount bearing or the droplinks, both quite a cheap fix if i remeber correctly

i changed to drop links not long ago so i'll check they are tight and okay - failing that i'll do top mount bearing - thank god both only look like a £20 parts jobb Very Happy

can you change just the bearing or do you need to change the whole top mount?

for information it was the top mount bearing - now repired Very Happy

£45 labour and £10 part

lol

don't use cheap top mount bearing..... i manage to destroy 2 set of cheap top mount bearing in 3 months.....

peugeot top mount bearing is the only way to go
