Me. I've seen loads of 180s with just black caps (unless they have all been changed?!) I also bought a mirror when I smashed it before and it came off a 180 also did not have carbon fibre top. |
all 180s came with microcarbon mirror cappings if its hasnt got them its been nicked/damaged and replaced with a normal one

yes the 180's fold, pretty cool! also makes it more expensive! 75 quid a side if i remember correctly. |
£75.00 for a used one. Brand new dread to think. Don't need folding mirrors though, pointless if you ask me unless you park your car on a road regularly which I don't. |

Mel you has to fix it! Mod Nats and all that!! lol..
How about a compact mirror sellotaped to the car on a twig? Could work, and you'd be the first to do that kinda custom mod!
On a more serious note, just ask the people offering you them to send you a picture of the conncetors, if they match yours all should be good

gti180 = electrical folding
auto folding = p**s easy to wire in

GT mirrors are pre-plexed.
Yes, they can be wired in, but who really wants the hassle.

I'd just put a 138 mirror on if you dont use the folding and save the money for something else.

get 138 mirror the power folding mirrors only work for about 5 months before they break anyway

I've already done that idea like 3 1/2 years ago!! Maybe I will just have no mirror. Start a new trend.
If I can find the money I can have the pug back on Monday!! New rear lights (which I won on ebay for 99p haha), tinted back window are in the post. Bodyworks being sorted so just the mirror to go. Ahh I can't wait to get him back

Yes the mirrors have different plugs.
I had to cut the connectors from the mirror and put the original 180 connector on the 138 mirror.
It was fairly straight forward if I remember correctly the colours are the same and you'll have two spare wires coming from the connector. Make sure you isolate and insulate the spare wires.
I prefer the original if one comes along for the right price, it will then just plug back in the original connector.
