when there is people sitting in the back and I go over the bumps, the back box hits the bumps. I checked the back box and it does seem lower than it should, or is it? or it could obviously be the suspension or both be a factor.

so took a picture of it:

if I was to get this serviced, I was thinking I might aswell get a new back box... any idea how much labour approx will cost on this ? to replace the back box with this:

cgi.ebay.co.uk/PEUGEOT...27a4dbdd16

if i need new suspension, will this cost a fortune ? Sad

Your back box is way too low, could just be that it's come away from it's mounting points or that the rubbers have perished, replace the rubbers If needed and re-mount properly

If it was suspension then it would still sit correctly in the bumber cutout. Looks like the mounting rubbers may be worn and stretched. Simple and cheap fix if they are.
There is a possibility that the metal mountings are bent, but only way to tell is to stick your head under and look at the exhaust mounting point.

Do as people suggest and check your rubber mounts. your problem as nothing to do with suspension with the description and photo you have supplied

I do not much about cars, don't know what rubber mounts are. I can take pictures under the car if this helps?

Look underneath a tthe rear, You will rubber mounts, Brackets that hold your exhaust in place! If these look to be stretched and perished rather than solid, then they need changing.

As you mentioned replacing the rear box, I would suggest NOT buying tht one you shown, Im guessing you are a young driver? Keep it standard for best performance and reliability.

Have you ever stood at the side of the road waiting for the big beefy car you heard 20 minutes ago to go past, only to find it is a Corsa crawling along, being driven by a baseball capped, spotty teenager, led almost horizontal, with foot to the floor in second gear just to make all the noise?
If you had a performance engine, then i'd say go for it.
At the end of the day it's your money so buy whatever you want. It's not my cup of tea.
