Spud, your symptoms are exactly what I encountered on the wifes CC. I also changed the wishbone for a lemforder from Euro Car Parts & changed the bolt & resolved the issue.

I also suspect it turns in sharp when only turning in one direction, compared to the opposite turning?

Mine sways at speed and also turns in sharper or feels like it 'grabs' and turns in quicker going round a corner. I put 2 new wishbones on, the problem is the wishbone? If it is, i'll get a couple of new ones.

It wasn't the swaying at speed, more of the direction change in the steering wheel when you change gear (off throttle/ on throttle) which was rather disturbing. The turn in effect was only when turning in one direction, the other was fine.

Yeah exactly the same issue, i didnt have a chance to work on it on the weekend, but it looks like i require a new bolt, where did you get one from? thanks for the response, as you say the change of direction on/off throttle is scary at times! i thought i was the only one in the world with this problem!

might have to check mine when I get time, I get exactly the same problem. I think it may be dodgy rubbers on the wishbones...?

hi spud_owen,

Just wonder where u get the replacement pinch bolt from and how much it cost? The pinch bolt you changed is the one in between ball joint and hub right?

Im experiencing the same type of problem in my 180, feels like the cars going to turn off right at times then when i let off the acceleration it swings back the other way, its a really weird feeling.
