It's done Gray
Guess this is a rather big update..
Bodyshop ended up taking 4 or 5 days longer than predicted then I've spent the last week working hard getting everything fitted and ready for FCS. I don't think anything major will be happening till then.
First off I took the front badge off and the bumper strips to respray whilst the car was away. Didn't turn out anywhere near as good as I wanted them too so sometime in the future will be painted by a bobyshop probably.
Bought a strip of aluminium to make a custom numberplate bracket out of. Don't have any pictures of it but it's on the car now.
Shiny..
Ordered a square number plate, lights and loads of stuff to polish and finish the painting off. Then one of the lights came like this..
Contacted the seller and got two more sent for free yay
Front badge in black and orange.
Also tinted the rear fog and 3rd brake light.
The standard ariel looks rubbish but looks even worse if you just take it off so I improvised a bit. Want to get it smoothed off in the future.
Also got the K&N filter fitted.
Now parts start coming back together. I got the car back from the bodyshop, fitted the number plate + lights + bootlid etc. I knew soon I was going to make a mechanism but it lasted about a day before I decided to sort it out.
Had the left over aluminium from the bracket and used the soleniod that stops the boot handle opening the boot when the car is locked.
Made my own bracket:
Took a long time to adjust and get it working properly.
Wired it into a push button using a blank button next to the handbrake.
All was good until I realised when using the handbrake my arm sometimes opened the boot..
So moved the location and sunk it in more so it was more difficult to accidently hit.
Finally got round to wiring the front and rear footwell LED's in. Picture isn't great will get one when it dark.
Numberplate light fitted.
All done..
Before (spare boot lid):
After:

From halfords mate not sure exactly what it's called universal grommit or something only a quid or two can't remember the size though there were a few.
You mean over the fog? Could look good, I didn't like single lined to the side but the middle could work. I do like square plates though

It's because I is' stealthy
It looks odd from certain angels. I got it to sit perfectly on the bumper but since I fitted the numberplate light it sticks out an inch or so

Looks good man. Not a huge fan of the wheels tho. Good work on the wiring I love playing around with things like that.

Wheels are the best thing imo Yeah me too it's good working things out especially when it all comes together.
Refurbing some 205 gti wheels for the saxo, if it goes well the wheels will be done with a lime green lip as well + stretched tyres and spaced further on the rear.
