This is almost the same process as the stud extractor, only you drill the hole. insert the stud extractor (which has corse left hand thread grooves) inside of the hole and as you're screwing it in (left hand thread remember) it grips the stud and unscrews it.
If you insert a smaller bolt, then you need to lock that bolt to the stud somehow otherwise it will just unscrew from the new thread when you turn it anti-clockwise.

And no i didnt buy it from a dealer so cant go back really, Ive heard you can drill them out? or how hard is it to change the hub?, If i can get hold of one for cheap i dont mind doing that. |
Easy enough to change the hub, just getting it loose can be tricky.

I had the same problem when i snapped a bolt on my Golf. Managed to get it out pretty easily by taking a chisel to the exposed end where the bolt had broken and slowly tapped it round until it came loose. Worked a treat! I was going to try and get a stud extractor tool but this worked for me.

Yeah i think im gonna give a go at buying a extractor tool, if this doesnt work ill just change the hub, might aswell try the cheaper option first if im lucky it might work :), and its the rear passenger side mate

might be an idea to have a look and see if it cross threaded as you dont want the same thing happening next time you want to take your wheel off.

did the same on mine yesterday.... snapped the bolt in the nsf hub.... spent all day trying to get it out and just got back from scrappy with new hub to replace it as bolt aint shifting out old one even with extractors..... any tips on how to remove the bearing to get the old hub face off?
