I am going to cut a long story short and get to the position I am in now;

The electrics had a fit and the car was dying on the second turn of the key so I swapped the battery but now it turns and doesn't fire. Fuel is getting to the rail so its likely to be the immobiliser yes? Also the remote locking and electric windows are not working.

BSI reset failed
fuses are good
earth on the battery looks good
Still looking through the search but not finding much

Thanks in advance guys

Not hit the fuel inertia switch have you? [if you have one]

Are you positive that the new battery is working?

Plugs are good, just done the coilpack. It does seem like the immobiliser . Not sure about hte locking and windows though, I will check the fuses again

Your pulling fuses out with the battery connected? oh dear....

Fuse 4 is for the MFD, Nav ECU, Radio, Folding Roof ECU, Rear lights, Clock, Com2000, Telephone transmitter. Should be 10amp

But if your pulling fuses out while the battery was connected, you could have well corrupted the BSI

Fixed! sort of; I turned my attention to the boot which would not unlock. I opened it from the inside and the handle is in some way fudged. Failing at fixing it I just unplugged the remote locking wire from it and it started!

However it is still running on 2 cylinders and the electric windows don't work

Lee I would appreciate it if you could look at my other thread and give me some advice as I do not think this non-start problem is related to my other problem. I will update it now.
