I would suggest something big like a roof or bonnet would be better left to the professionals. I would be gutted if I did it myself just to mess it up and have to fork out more wonga. Get it done right first time.

I used to teach wrapping for the company who invented the stuff - KPMF.

I'd agree with Suicidalsoldi3r. If it's big, best to let some one with a bit of experience do it as it's an expensive hobby if it does go wrong. Smaller stuff just needs patience and a bit of heat though.

Preperation is paramount (CLEAN CLEAN and then CLEAN!)
After you are done, over heat the vinyl to destroy the elasticity (not so much you burn it or change it's colour though) - this is called superheating.

If you do not try you will NEVER succeed!

I had my roof vinyl wrapped in gloss black, and would agree with previous comments, for large areas i'd defo get professionals to do it, which is what I did. A local tinting/wrapping garage did mine and it only cost around £80. Which when you think about the material and labour time and the high quality finish it's pretty good value...

If you get somewhere to do it though, i would suggest taking your arial and roof rails off when you take it to be done (makes it easy to get really neat edges for whoever does it)... I did this and it came out well, i know someone who didn't and the person who fitted the vinyl struggled with the edges with the roof rails in and left a messy cut where the arial was Confused
