Well... Today we took the complete throttle body of... cleaned it right out, and the same with the stepper motor/icv...

We pluged it into a computer.. for it to say everything is working as it should... all bar the CTS coolent temp sensor... would this make it struggle to start, and rev like it does.

The computer was saying the cts temp was -40degrees...

Thanks for your input once again.

coz i can!

When my old 1.1 used to rev its nuts off, then die, then rev its nuts off, it turned out to be my coolant temp sensor. Cheap part, replace it and see if it works

if the CTS doesn't sort it change your ICV and MAP sensor, but seeing as you got a reading of -40 it seems to be the CTS at fault

The coolant temperature sensor will cause problems because the ECU thinks the engine is at a different temperature to what it actually is, ie warm when its cold or cold when its warm.

I had my 206 stalling and running rough when cold about 2 months ago, the gauge was also moving about a lot and always showing warm - replaced the coolant temperature sensor and not seen the problem since. Was about £30 from Peugeot.
