Having removed/replaced the Ignition barrel, transponder ring, Bsi and the Ecu, then following the steps for re-setting the Bsi, you would have thought that any problems I had before would have been sorted. No, no and NO!!!!
In fact, although the car starts as normal, the central locking system is still 'bouncing' (as was original problem), the ice and sport lights on the dashboard are alternating, and the original mileage (46958) is still showing on the odometer! (I was told by the supplier of the Bsi and Ecu, that this would change to the mileage of the doner car).
Could I have missed something?

pre plex milage store in the odometer.

plexed one take the highest milage from the ecu/ odometer.

==
bouncing central locking, have you ever check the actual locking mechanism?

==
dash light; can't help. but don't think is bsi or ecu problem. could be the stalk or bad dash wiring.

==

sounds silly enough to just change the ecu and bsi for the above problem

Are these faults the exact same ones as you had previously? Does the car start?

Why would you want the mileage to be changed unless you were trying to clock it? The instrument cluster may be at fault but the central locking will be something separate.

the central locking could be a faulty door sensor maybe as if you try to lock them as while a door is still open it will immediately unlock. The Mileage thing takes the new donor value and adds it to the cluster value I think unless the cluster is higher than the donor kit. If this happens you will need to get a mileage correction company in to set it back.

Just another thread on here proving that throwing replacement parts at a car in blind hope of fixing problems without actually diagnosing things correctly = money wasted Wink
