Hi,

Two things i'm after help with.

The 1st thing is when the car is ticking over all the lights inside and out flicker not really bad but noticale if your up close. As sson as you rev the engine the flickering stops. Any ideas as to what this could be?

Also does anyone know what the button in the pic is for? Its in the centre bit next to the handbrake.

picasaweb.google.com/l...directlink

The car is a 2000 X GTi

Cheers

james

Not 100% sure, like said above could be the battery.... but there is also a fair chance it could be the alternator. Use a voltmeter on the battery, and see what is going on with it when you rev, this might give a good indication.
