I'm a tad pi***d off at the minute, p0141 and p0139 came up when I had car scanned, replaced the o2 sensor 2 after the cat and had the ecu cleared, went for a drive and after 10miles the Eng light came back on, rescanned it and the same faults came up, is sensor 2 deffently the one after the cat?

Thanks, is there any way of telling if the cat is kaput, would the cat have a fault code?

I didn't use a Bosch one as I couldnt get hold of one, tried a few places but there was a long order time, no chance it could be that is it,

P0141 = O2 sensor heater circuit Bank 1 sensor 2

P0139 = O2 sensor circuit slow responce Bank 1 sensor 2

Hmm..
Checked the wiring is OK?
Could be a contacts issue on the ECU connector if the cat is fine.

Just been and checked the wiring seems fine, if it helps I only had the EMG man light probably since I had the flywheel and clutch replaced

Check for 12v across the two heater wires (that'll be the two same coloured wires) at the O2 sensor connector. Without the additional heating then the O2 sensor will cool off produce a slow signal response at certain low temp exhaust conditions like when ticking over

With ignition off check for very low resistance of just a few ohms across the sensor heater circuit just to make sure the heater is intact and hasn't been damaged on installation

If you have very low resistance and 12v supply and earth then you have a functioning heater

That was quick. Did you check the ECU conectors?

Think I've found the problem Smile bet it was when the clutch was chnged
Thanks for all your help, with abit of luck it isn't raining tomorrow night I will crack my wiring tools out Smile I'm sure have no ground to the sensor will make it not work won't it?

Yes, as stated above you must have 12v and earth to the sensor heater circuit for it to work

As your old λ-sensor is probably OK, it might be worth donating it to some other info member
who might be after one.

Thanks guys, just one more question/ advise how would any of you go about reconecting the wire as there is very limited acsess can only just get one hand to the wire, i wont be able to get my wire stripper down there deffo not my crimps to get bullets on, ive got some crimping blocks but there normaly used to spur another wire,
