Right this is abit of a weird one.

When i fill up with fuel i (out of habit) reset the trip computer so i can see how many miles im getting out of the amount of fuel i put in.

Seemingly at random the car seems to be adding ~800miles to this. So i filled up Sunday and reset the trip to zero. between then and eariler id done maybe 40miles got in my car to pop to the shops and rather than reading 40mils its reading 893 or something like that??

Its not adding any mile to the total mileage though i did check this? as at that rate the car would be reading 300000 miles by now!!lol

Anyone got any ideas??

Software bug. Either hope a BSI reboot cures it, if not the BSI needs updating or just live with it.

I've got this and have done for the passed 2 years. BSI needs updating apparently, but I've just lived with it.

Peugeot main dealer only.

Its a known BSI software bug that was fixed 5 / 6 + years ago Laughing

Either get the BSI software updated OR live with the fault.

BSI reboot will only cure it for so long before it starts doing it again.

Mine was doing this too, once the car passed 80,000 miles there a few weeks ago the trip computer decided to change to 800. If only I was getting that sort of mileage from a full tank!

I can live with it for now, but when I am getting the COM unit replaced in a few weeks I may just get them to update the BSI software too.

Normally half hour / hours labour charge for software updates, ask your local Peugeot dealer.

No idea, ask a Peugeot main dealer, they all charge different labour rates.
