The car is a 206CC 2001 2L. The passenger seat will not slid forward to allow access into the back, when the seat is tipped forwards. I found a 50mm long pin with a flat top on the floor also, i guess it may be involved but I can't see where.
The seat slid mechansim works OK from the front handle.
If I have to take the seat out to fix, can I safley disconnect the airbag control cable?

You may not need to take the seat out if the top hat type cap and bolt have detached. This is how they should look
