Hi everyone,
Before I start, I best just say that I dont have much knowledge on this subject.
So yeah, 2 years ago, I bought myself a 206 and took it straight down the local car audio shop and got a new head unit and speakers installed. I also had installed whatever it is that allows you to still use the volume paddles on the steering wheel (not sure whether this was some sort of wire or a piece of equipment or whatever?).
Once it was done, everything was fine except the central display with the clock on it stopped working. I researched it at the time and it was apparantly a common fault that happens when after market head units are installed and so I did nothing about it.
Now the time has come to for me to sell my 206, and I'd like to re-fit the old original head unit back in.
Is this is a big job? Or is it just a case of re-attaching wires? Also, will the clock fix itself when the original unit is back in?
Any advise will be much appreciated,

i did this just at the weekend as long as you have the tool for taking the old headunit out its easy, took me all of 10 mins, my central display also didnt work with my aftermarket stereo
now with the original back in it shows me which which CD which track time its being played for etc.

Where would I get my hands on one of these tools? And how much do they usually cost?

Even if you don't have the tool, take the top centre console off, undo the 2 torx screws and gently pull the lower centre console, pull the connector blocks apart and take cd player out. Pretty straight forward

Are there any online tutorials or youtube videos which could guide me through the process? I've not done anything like this in a car before.

Mines a 53 plate and i was expecting to need a radio code but thought id try it first because most radio code services are instant, but i didnt need the code just plugged straight in
the tools can be found in halfords there normally specific to the brand of the headunit it is
it is also possible to remove the HU without these tools using a small flat blade screwdriver but this is fiddly and risks scratching your centre console

yeh im sure on multiplexed the stereo is already coded to the car, how ever on none plexed ones you need the code
