Am I missing something or can some explain to me why these limited edition models seem to be up for sale cheaply.

Because they are poo. Most people break them as parts were worth more. Might not be the case now as most 206 parts can be found fairly cheap.

So nothing major then, Ideal for me as it would be a cheap advertising tool, was looking to get like a rally style car but the GT will suffice just nicely and can pick them up for close on the cost of a dimma wide arch kit so that will do for me now to find one
thanks for replies

yes i figured it was an excerise to get round rally reg's a few years back but am still quite surprised by how cheap a limited edition car can be bought for especially when the numbers are decreasing and from what i have read there were not to many right hand drive ones to start with
still will do the job I want it for

The world isn't daft in the case of the GT. Questionable looks...doesn't really offer anything over the GTi...also they are cheap because they are fairly old. A proper mint condition car would be worth paying strong money for but most have fallen into the wrong hands now.

the GT had 16" nimmies, electric folding mirrors, different bumpers, aluminium filler cap, metallic paint, body-coloured side mouldings, different dials, side airbags, 6-disc CD autochanger, and rear headrests over the GTi at the time.

questionable looks agreed, I remember when they first came out I thought they look strange. I think even with the bumpers being the only difference they stand out more so for my purpose they will work ok and at a cheap price I still think they are too cheap for the potential maybe in 10 to 15 years people will be going oh I iwsh I had kept mine who knows only time will tell
thanks for all the answers now to find one

yes the rear spoiler was an option, and it should have wing extensions on the front only - really slim nice ones compared to the SP pack extensions seen usually...
