hi i have a 2004 206 S,and a few days ago the stop warning light and the oil light started flashing,i took the car to my step borthers garage and he said the oil is full and he cant see any problems,i was thinking it might be the computer telling the car its empyt as the right door open warning comes on now and then so i was thinkin it might be related,my brother does not do electrics so i was wondering if anyone on here can help.just to add when i turn the ignition on the oil gauge is saying the car is full

The warning light is for low oil PRESSURE
Has it got a genuine Peugeot or Purflux oil filter fitted?
Also open the bonnet & check the oil level with the dipstick, the dash gauge likes to tell lies.

probably need to remove the sump to have a check.
did you used any engine flush by any chances?

i have spoken to my step brother on the phone and he said if it was the oil pressure there would be a rattle and the engine would be noisey and loud,he cant check it till next weekend so cud do with sum advice,he says its ok to drive but been advised not to by various peole,i ahve work monday so does anyone think i shudnt drive it or will it be ok?any help is greatly apreciated thanks

Under the oil filter housing you will find an oil pressure switch.
Check / clean the connector plug, see if that helps.
If it doesnt then change the switch.

If the oil pressure light has come on, then more than likely damaged has already been caused

On a modern engine the oil light is generally too late, damage has been done
Oil is the blood of your car. If you cut a vein in your arm, you aren't going to be 100% are you?
