i just bought a part over the internet using the service box to give me the correct part number, of course using my vin number to start it off.
so i call the peugeot dealer to have an idea how much they charge for labor (since labor is so expensive anyway, its pretty much the same everywhere).
he tells me i got the wrong part number. " there is no such part number, you sure its genuine? " so i give him my vin number and he reads out another part number that is almost similar.
then he goes "sometimes the public service box is not updated. "
im like what? this is so not cool

Is the part you got from flea bay listed as genuine or compatible?
A Peugeot dealer won't want to fit a customers own parts in the first place, and it really p**ses them off when you go into the parts counter with the part number.
If you tell us what part it is and what part numbers you have got someone might be able to help.

its resolved, its about a timing kit
down here they dont do complete timing kits so you got to grab all the parts separate. belt, tensioner, pulley.
so i call another dealer who listed out the separate parts no. compared and its correct.
silly crap here, like NO TIMING KIT? GOTTA GET SEPARATE? oh yes its genuine by the way, gonna get it fitted soon.
sorry for the panic. laughs
