So my passengers door seal has is leaking.
I've spent the last few weeks trying to figure if it was the door or seal, and am pretty sure it's the seal.

When it rains heavily, I get a pool of water in the passengers footwell on the right hand side (closest to the centre console unit, where it's a deeper dip)
And a water trail / droplet of water leading from the the door (nearer to the hinge side) into the pooled water.
Sometimes when I open the door, a small amount of water spills out, as if it's been sat on the door frame edge and the bottom of the door.

Another thing I've noticed, id that my passenger door doesn't always shut first time, sometimes you have to give it abit of a harsher shut in comparison to the drivers door.

If the door seal does need replacing, is it better to go straight to peugeot and get a new one, or will any do?

Or does it sound like something else?

Want to get it sorted now, as I'm sick of everything being condensated and wet on the inside of the car every morning :/

Have you ever had the door cards off? IIRC it's a common fault when people don't re-seal them properly when refitting

You could check the drain holes in the bottom of the door for blockages, but from the sounds of it water is draining from them.

Nope never touched them. Will give the drain holes a check in the light tomorrow.

Do you think there could be a connection to the seal being worn / damaged and the fact the door takes more to close? Or would that be more to do with the latch or something?

(I'm making myself sound very thick, but don't want to go and tamper with stuff and make matters worse!)

If you have a search for "water footwells" there are a few posts there from people that have had similar problems. Might point you in the right direction.

The door being more difficult to close could be anything from hinges to the latch. It is possible the two are linked, but without finding where the water is coming from, it's impossible to say

Thanks, I had had a brief look when it first started a short while back, but didnt add to any threads as I wanted see how things went and test possible suspicions.

I know it's definitely not my heater matrix, as that went on my old XS, and it's not holes or anything in the floor pan as I've sprayed water up from underneath. I also sprayed the door (and have washed the car) to see if it would confirm my suspicion, but it did nothing!! It only seems to be when it sits while it rains.

So, going with the fact I'm pretty damn sure it is the door seal, How tricky are they to change?

There just a push fit on the lip.

Edge of the seal folds round some of the trim.
