Does anyone have any tips or hints.
To install the new one.
Is there anything to be disconnected before starting the job. Smile

Make sure the BSI unit is shut down correctly first!

2 x torx 20 screws under the plastic coloumn trim to undo, top half of trim lifts off once the bottom half is removed.

Set front wheels dead straight!

Airbag is clipped on, flat blade screw driver needed, feel around the back of the wheel for slot in the bottom steering wheel spoke.

Screwdriver in & push the spring clip up, airbag should release, might take a few goes to get the hang of it.

Yellow locking clips hold the 2 x airbag connector plugs in, plugs are also colour coded so you cant mix them up.

Red spade connector is 1 half of horn wiring.

Black ring terminal on steering wheel is the other half, there is a grey connector on the com, thats the horn plug.

Undo torx bolt for steeringwheel a few turns, DON'T remove it yet!

Smack the back of the steering wheel with your hands till it pops free of the splines.

Now remove bolt, wheel.

Metal clamp on back of com, undo the bolt, unplug com connectors, 3 plastic clips, slide com unit off.

Unclip radio remote stalk & slide it out.

Refitting is reversal of removal.

Airbag connectors - make sure there fully in & seated before then pressing in the yellow locking clips!

Use thread lock on steering wheel bolt!

Reboot the BSI correctly.
