Hi all can someone tell me if by connecting a diagnostic software to my 206,will it tell me where the fault is with the airbag,so I can get it repaired? Obviously there are a number of connections linked to the airbag,so want to know will it pinpoint the fault. Cheers.

diagnostics have a seperate file to go into airbag faults instantly so should be a simple diagnostic and they should be able to pinpoint it directly but im not 100% sure but i think There is a connection under the drivers
seat where the Seat Belt Pretensioner is linked in, this connection may need re-doing you might be lucky and get away with cleaning the connector out and reconnecting dont hold me to it im not 100% sure if thats any help at all

NOT on a 206 there isnt, Peugeot / Citroen had already fixed that issue Wink

Only SRS plug you might find under there is for side seat airbags if fitted.

It was a common issue on older PSA stuff with the buckle type pretensioner.

206 the pyrotechnic seatbelt pretensioners are on the actual seatbelt reel in the B pillar.

my side airbag was lighting up, disconnected red and green under seats and reconnected and stops for a bit then comes on again.

Reconnected while engine running then restarted and so far so good no airbag light..

Try it, it costs nothing.

No, he really should. He should also set up a video to record him doing it. Wink

you just missed out on a pug diagnostic interface i sold on here earlier in the week.

i recently had to clear an airbag fault, typically came up for the first time when it was advertised.
what it was - when i removed the stereo and put original back in or when taking out handsfree etc, i somehow nudged the passenger airbag clip under the steering wheel.

i pushed it back tightly even though it felt 'in' anyway and the fault went away. the plugs are known to be very fickle on airbag systems.
