I'm trying to remove the front grill, and looking at the haynes manual it says start by removing the four push fastners accros the top (by the bonet catch) which I've done, then release the lower retaining clips - but how? The pics in the manual look like you have to pull it up, but I dont want to break this or the trim panel its attache to.

ideas/guidance please

Cheers
Al

The bottom of the slatted part of grill, there is 3 plastic clips each side, you can sometimes get your hand in from under the coloured part to release the clips.

Then undo the 3 torx screws, pull hard at each corner to remove the coloured trim with the badge.

When I take the front of the car apart, I take out all the bolts, then I pop of the strip that goes under the headlights, and the slatted grill that goes around the bonnet catch comes out with the strip.
I don't seperate them, but that is just me.

Be careful when you remove the trim connected to the wings with those little clips, the amount of times ive either snapped a clip or the bloody things has pooped off and fallen down behind the bumper is unreal.

Maybe im just to ham fisted.. but you will need to give it some extra encouragement to un-clip..

Haha Pooped.

Yes, those clips to break easily. Luckily I haven't broken one yet.

I thought there was a bolt you needed to take out somewhere in the middle that you couldnt get to unless the slatted bit was out first?

Cheers
