my second gear can be a bit snatchy sometimes ,could changing the gear oil make it better.its a 206 1.1
if so what oil could i use
thanks.or maybe adjusting the link rods.

only use 75w/80

no matter what brand. only use 75w80, if you want fancy stuff get miller or Motul, they are less than a tenner for 1 litre.

not other like 75w/90; 70w/75, 75w/140 etc.....

the PSA synchro is just picky on oil

Correct oil is less then £8 for 2 litres from any Peugeot / Citroen main dealer.

Not that anyone bothers to take any notice anymore Rolling Eyes

Halfords do a 75/80 gearbox oil.
2001 GTi 138, Bilstein Sprint dampers, H&R springs, 21mm Peugeot Sport torsion bars, 22mm rear ARB, Peugeot Sport Group A wishbones, 283mm discs, Goodridge stainless hoses, Maniflow 304 grade 4-2-1 2.5" manifold and system, 200 cell cat, Richard Longman head, 45mm Jenvey throttle bodies, 9.5mm TB spacers, 90mm air horns, Jenvey throttle linkage, Jenvey fuel rail, Aeromotive and Goodridge fuel fittings and braided hose, ITG sausage filter, Radtec custom radiator, Piper Ultimate Road cams, Piper vernier pulleys, Omex 600 ECU. Saxo electric PAS pump, Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, TTV steel flywheel, 4.76 final drive ratio, 307 CC 180 ratios. 2019 BMW 530i. 2017 Mercedes C300 convertible.

I've already got enough oil borrowed from old job to keep the 206 in oil changes for a good few years yet Laughing

As for gearbox oil, that can wait till clutch change time.
