hope i explain this right

when i open the door the interior light is ment to come on but it dont had a look around and there is no type of switch does anyone know how this works ?

Switch is part of the door latch.

Are you sure you have the switch on the light itself in the correct setting, you should have off, on with doors and locking and on all the time

Replace the door latch, plenty in scrap yards / breaking on Ebay etc.

Was just making sure you would be surprised how meny people dont bother checking first then just post a problem thread when there is not actually a problem

Make sure you get the correct type latch for your car as there are 3 different types.

Povety manual locking.
Central locking.
Deadlocking.
