Hi guys been trying to clear my debt and drive round in a 1.9D but ive had enough after 5 months. Found a really nice gti 180 and pretty cheap insurance just want to know what mpg people are getting roughly and if they have a trip with it on. Really missed that in my last few cars. Old celica did about 24mph so around that or above should be fine.
Cheers

If your looking to clear debt have you also considered tax and insurance increases? No point just looking at mpg

You dont buy a GTI 180 for cheap running costs
GTI 180 has trip computer as standard fit.
Then again trip computer is simple retrofit on any mutlplexed 206 if it hasnt already got it fitted
If you want to change your 206 go for a 2.0 HDI, much better performance & better mpg then your 1.9 diesel donkey

Just buy yourself a 180 - you've been thinking about it, easy way to resolve the issue is to own one.
The worst thing in life is when you know you want something - but spend so long thinking about it and it gets stressful - You know watching the video on youtube of every review - searching how to make it go faster - getting the insurance quotes - finding cars locally for sale
I bet you've done it all!
Good luck

Yeah its a bit of a toss up really i can afford a 180 and running costs but will take me a bit longer to pay my loan off. I've only just spent £400 on getting everything right on mine just cant stand it anymore might just see if I get a payrise in April then decide also how do you add the trip computer?

Well the RS6 got sold for:
VW polo 1.4 TDI - which then got sold for:
GSXR K4 600 - First bike (which was sold as it was about as quick as the cars but very unsafe) then
206 gti 137 from a friend - which was sold to Harry after 6 months and broken- good fun car
Then alfa 147 as needed something to get around 1.6ltr
Then Audi RS4 b5 2001 - Nice car (best car so far)
Then a 50cc Generic Trial bike - this was so slow -
back to 206 gti 180 - so its a nice place to be right now.
ha ha lol - I really just need to stick with one car.

the GSXR was quick but I shouldn't have picked it for the first bike the RS6 did 0-60mph in 4secs and 0-100mph sub 10s and was so easy to drive because 4 wheel drive and auto box is so effective its not a monster to drive but just makes you feel like you engaged warp speed on the enterprise.
The 206 is a cheap reliable car - I have had two 206 gti's and now the 180 - apart from changing wishbones and droplinks its been good fun - cheap motoring.
You know it makes sense -
