did any one replaced his camshaft with this on a hdi,,?? and do you think that it is worth a try..???piper cams

I think the money it would cost to buy and fit them would be better placed elsewhere.

yes maybe but its a bit tempting.:D ...even if only 12 bhp is gained...:/

But you could just map it and get more and have less hassle.

will do,,dw about that till now what i have from my 20hdi is,, 150-160 bhp,360nm torque,this with remap and intercooler,,etc,,and now this idea popped up in my head,,,:D but don't know its a bit of a hassle..

these cams have been around for a while and have been used before by the man who designed them.From what i read he designed them) His name is lars lybker he has many diesel Hdi's . from a 2.2 Hdi 200 Bhp 400 nm ect ect :]
look him up there is a few threads on the net but you need to translate them

Sorry iv not got back sooner i Have just seen this :/
the problem is with this guy is he has done so much stuff in the past its hard to find which ones which but i do have a few videos i can post if i can find them :]
I have no Idearhow to time it to be honest with you. i was going to Cam my Hdi but it seems an awful lot of bother.

that link is a twin turbo he tried to do but from what i can make out he cant get it to work so he just puts a big turbo on it ;p

without knowing how many degree should i retard/ advance the timing in order to shift up the peak power it would be a nightmare to get it done :/
not many garage would like to touch this stuff.........
and piper is just un-helpful as usual.
