my car has been idling weird for a while now, and sounded like it was misfiring, i had a little blowing on the exhaust, fixed that, and i can now here it was misfiring a little, when idling it would be going up and down, sometimes below 800rpm and back up to 1000rpm, but when im driving feels a little sluggish at low rpm but when it picks up its fine no bad noises or anything, the engine management lights came on and got it plugged in and it said adaption mixture and that it was adding and taking fuel away whenever it felt like it, any ideas, its had a new coil pack, spark plugs and everything Sad

Replace the coolant temp sensor, it can cause all sorts of weird symptoms when it's playing up.

Sounds like similar symptoms to my car when throttle body went, intitial research also suggested possible MAP sensor issues?

Hope you get it sorted

would a faulty idle valve show on a diagnostic machine??

im having the same kinda issues, my revs drop and car cuts out when i break and change to a low gear.

took it to a local gge and they didnt find any faults on the diagniostic machine.
