P0170 fault code fuel trim malfunction ........ could this be the front lambda sensor plese??????

It might be lots of things, the car is warning you that it is having to trim the fuel injected to an unacceptable level so you need to find out what is causing that. I'd reset the code and see if it happens again. If you can, monitor your lambda sensor whilst engine running

A simple misfire can also cause fuel trims to want to go to max to compensate so check your plugs
