Id rather get a genuine 2nd hand cat if I was on a budget then fit aftermarket crap.

Ive seen enough problems caused by aftermarket parts over the years to know most are just worthless s**te & not even worth the hassel of fitting.

there is no need to try them if you know what is a cat and how much is the catalyst cost.

i work on metal catalyst and i know how much they cost (trade price with discount of returning any metal waste).

At what point did i mention aftermarket parts? they are genuine parts and failing that blueprint? I've never had a problem with anything from this place and have used them for 10 years.

i am saying that there is no way you can buy a oem cat for 25 quid; even the scrap value is higher than that

Seabook has a point, I have a buyer who buys all my cats for £45 even small ones on 1.1s regardless of condition (unless totally smashed) so a brand new one for £25 seems too good to be true, it's the catalyst which costs loads you can get cheap other exhaust parts for not much though.

of course.

check out the palladium price, they are 375GBP per ounce; rhodium is 837GBP per ounce; platinium is 915GBP per ounce.

depending on the size, the precious metal content can range from as little as 0.05 oz to 0.5 oz; there is a reason why cat is expensive.

racing cat. is cheaper because it got less catalyst....

It was a few years ago when i got my front cat for that price, Instead of speculating why dont one of you ring them up and ask for a cat for you car? At least then if the price of a cat has gone up you can say with FACTS rather than mindless speculation?
