Can anyone point me in the right direction?
For the first time ever I was driving at 50mph and come of the throttle and it came out of 5th gear. I dipped the clutch and re-engaged it for it to come out again a few hundred yards down the road (motorway sliproad).
Is this the start of a faulty gearbox or selector rods (I have noticed that the gearstick has been sloppy fo a while)?
Thanks.

The car has done 87k if it is relevant?

Okay.

The strange thing is I did the same journey but on the way home and it didnt fall out of gear?
Very confused now. I only have movement in the gearstick when it is in 5th gear and it feels tight in the other 4.

I had my 2nd gear synchro changed under warranty...after that 5th gear would jump out when lifting off the throttle, so they changed that gear too. Fixed now.
