I have a leak coming in front the front door,I have replaced the rubber seal but it looks like the water is coming through a drain plug at the bottom of the door.
I poured a bucket of water over the seals and it looks like the water might be coming down the window or something. I took off the door card and there was a bit of a puddle in the door, is this normal? The drains are all clear should i drill another plug further up and see if that helps?
Im a bit flumuxed how to sort this problem..

No it isn't but it is common as the cars get older.
The seal next to the window glass becomes stiffer with age and doesn't seal so well so more rainwater pouring down the window gets channelled into the door and if it's coming in faster than it can get out at the bottom door drains then it doesn't take long for the floods to rise in the door.
Once the level gets above the cut outs in the door, the speaker holes etc then if the plastic seal has been broken then it starts running down the door on the inside of the car, over the door seal and into the footwell
So improving the window seal, clearing the door drains and properly sealing the door cutouts will all help to prevent the flooded footwell

Cheers. Might just drill a few more holes in the door so they are not so close to the seal.See how it goes !

Make sure you don't leave just a bare metal hole if that's your plan as it will rust the door real fast

You dont need to do any drilling, the standard drain holes in the door are more then up to the job.

I had this problem. water was splashing onto the back of the white door membrane from inside the door and then leaking at the bottom of the membrane. I took the membrane off, sealed some plastic sheeting behind then resealed the membrane. this is only preventing the leakage into the car, I believe there is still an issue with too much water entering the door

The doors have 3 drain holes in them, water shouldnt be able to build up inside the door it should drain straight out of the drain holes.

I have this problem and took the door card off and the bottom of the door card is all stained where there's been a build up of water.
Does the white membrane play any part in keeping water out the car or is it just sound deadening?
