Hi folks, really stupid question but here goes.

The clutch on my 206 (2001 1.1lx) has been slipping under acceleration for a few months. The mechanic across the road said to leave the car and a new clutch in with him next week and he'll sort it. Just to clarify, is it a 3 piece clutch kit like this www.eurocarparts.com/e...117&000069 that I need, or something different?

Also, is it worth getting the timing belt done at the same time? I just know it was on my dad's xsara recently with the way it's built, is it the same for the 206?

Thanks folks

You only need the friction plate unless it's props f@@ked(eg the rives have damaged the metal plate.

While its apart you might as well change the 3 parts. No point in putting something new with old parts, and itd not exactly easy to change a clutch!

It's always a good idea to change all three parts, I got my luks kit from eurocarparts for about the same price, seems to be good touch wood!

Thanks for the quick replies. If the transmec one is not good quality, how much should I be paying for a clutch? Are there better sites than ECP?
