Hi,

I am pretty sure my rear engine mount has gone as there is a sort of springy noise when first using the car and the noise is not there when accelerating.

My question is how much is it likely to cost as I am sure most of you have probably had this problem (1.4 2002 Petrol 206 GLX) and is it worth just having the one done or all of them at the same time to be on the safe side.

Thanks

Ray

If your rear mount has gone there will be more mechanical interferances rather than audible ones. The biggest sign of a dodgy rear engine mount is gears not selecting well... It is a simple job to replace the front lower, but a f***er to replace the rear lower. Dont bother with the top ones unless you are tracking or have done well over 100k. They should last....
