All of 30 seconds per side, dont even need to remove the door card. |
Yes, you need to make a tool by welding an M5-ish screw onto the end of a an old screwdriver.
Then, there is a small rubber bung on the side of the door frame which once removed, allows the tool to screw into the barell retaining clip/fork.
Pull it outwards and the barell is freed. Fit new barell and carefully secure with the retaining fork once again.
Finaly unscrew tool and hope you don't need it again.
There is a knack to all this and the info does not help to steal from cars because the door has to be already open.

Sorry for the delay in reply, last couple of nights I haven't had internet at the hostel I was at. Nothing been done to the car yet but managed to park it in a very open area, without the door easily on show thankfully. This link should contain the photos of the hole (if I uploaded it correctly) imgur.com/a/x4X4o

Squeaker, how much would you be looking for them? And how easy are they to fit? Will do the work myself if possible, or will it involve rewiring certain things? Really don't mind if I just used them as a dummy lock at the minimum, as long as it's securely fitted as I never use the manual lock and if it really came to it I could just climb through the passenger door

How does £20 plus postage sound?
I'm not sure how easy they are to fit. I know ignition is straight forward, slide it in and out of the barrel and its just plug it in.
Haven't got round to taking door locks out yet.
