Hello all,
Firstly, to the site pro's you must be pulling your hair out asking why this noob is asking a similar question to the 385472398 threads already asking.
I'm really sorry... I know the feeling on other owners club where I'm very familiar with the car. I promise you the amount of silly questions will diminish quickly, I'm a fast learner.
I've just bought a 203 LOOK and I realise these 206s are fairly modular in what can be replaced and upgraded. So I was wondering whether I can upgrade the following?
The PPT40... I have the mundane single line display. I guess its a fairly easy affair to pop the multiline on - is there a particular Multiline display I need to get or will any old one do? Will I get the trip/mpg info as well? Or is there more to it?
I do have a Lexia3 if things need to be changed in the BSI.
Secondly, I'm pretty sure I have the wiring harness for front fogs - I presume a change of bumper, indicator stalk and some BSI fiddling will give me front fogs?
Lastly, electric wing mirrors... I have manual ones at the moment. Assuming I have the loom installed, is it just a case of whacking on electric versions of the wing mirrors and that's it?
Thanks for the help

Lexia is for Citroen, you need Peugeot Planet if you want to do things properly.
You can't get fuel information and all that if its not there already, its just not worth it, all the work you would have to do, You can always check by popping the end of the lights stalk off to see if you have the fuel information button there, if you do that's a step forward and you may be able to, You can upgrade to a two line PPT, However half of the information wont display I think.

You need a stalk with a button to use a MFD afaik.
I think you're right about the fogs. Might need a fuse putting in too.
If you get electric mirrors, you'll need a electric mirror switch too (it's combined with the windows switch.) If you have none auto windows, make sure you also get a none auto switch.

i had a 2003 Look and did everything you want to do.
to change the screen it is purely a physical swap that takes 2 minutes, go for the 3 bulb version aka pp-t40.
if you want trip fuctions, then follow the previous advice to pop the stalk cap off and look for a button (maybe use a cocktail stick) but you need the full size mfd first.
fogs - assuming you have the wiring then yes it just plugs in. however, your engine bay fuse box needs a fuse/slot for front fogs (maybe F6 and 30A? can't remember now). if your engine bay fuse box doesn't have the ability to take this fuse then it won't work, even when you activate it in pp2000 (also required to do).
you can use your existing stalk as it just adds an extra twist for activation.
electric mirrors - i did a how to, might have some useful info for you. will require you to buy the correct switch and new door looms. ideally get the loom/mirrors from the same car and age roughly, also remember if you have a 3dr and get 5dr looms they will be shorter.

Guys thanks for the help. Really appreciated, even though I realise it's been covered numerous times.
r.e. Lexia3, yes sorry, it's due to owning a Saxo I've always referred to it as that even though I've got pp2000 installed too - will use PP2000 from now on.
Skard, thanks for the heads up, was hoping an owner of a similarly spec'd 206 could share their experience.
Ash, thanks for the info about Auto-Electric windows. Mine are manual electric.
Cheers!

You can swop the BM34 fuse box in the engine bay for one that does have the F6 fuse position for front fogs - just make sure the BSI unit is shut down correctly BEFORE you disconnect the battery!
Dont unplug the BM34 with the battery connected!
2 pin grey plug tucked up behind each front headlamp is for the front fogs.
Also if your 206 has the frosted H4 headlamps watch out for a grey 3 pin plug tucked away behind each headlamp, there for the twin H7 crystal headlamps.
If you want to fit crystal headlamps you need to tweak the BSI configuration set up.
To get auto electric windows on a 206 that doesnt already have a drivers one you need to wire in a aftermarket window control unit - DEI 530 T can do a pair of windows & give auto up & down on each.

Thanks for the warning about the fusebox. These BSI's seem like fun...!
Okay regarding the multidisplay PPT40. My wiper stalk doesn't have that button for working my way through the PPT menu. So I assume it's a replacement Com2000? I do need to replace the indicator stalk anyway as it's a bit feeble so not a problem.
Does anyone know what I need to be looking for when buying a replacement one? P.s. not sure how relevant it is but I've got a temp sensor on the passenger wing mirror.
Thanks once again - really appreciated
EDIT: My BSI, I've got the h7 crystals and electric windows... just they're non-auto

To get auto windows get yourself a DEI 530 T window control unit & fire up the soldering iron.
BM34 under bonnet fuse box is basically just a load of connector plugs & a big circuit board, simple to change.
As for the com 2000 unit, IF its the type with the removable end you can pop the cap out & get your self the button end assembly from down the scrap yard then just clip it in & the trip computer should then work
If its the type with the solid end then you would need to swop the complete com 2000 unit.
Trip computer com 2000 units have << on the end of the wiper stalk, just match up ALL the other functions of your present com 2000 then add on the front fog lamp symbol for the headlamp stalk to

It's that easy? Com2000's are locked to a particular BSI/ECU?
No removable end cap on the washer stalk so replacement Com2000 it is.
Guys thanks. I promise the silly questions will stop soon, once I've got my head around the bizarre electrical setup on this thing.

Nope, com 2000 will be plug & play BUT the steering wheel needs to be removed to change it so if your thinking of a GTI / leather steering wheel now would be the time to change it.

I'm probably the only owner who doesn't like the GTI interior! Right Com2000 hunting now!
Thanks again.

Okkkkaaayyy. More nooby questions...
Will a COM2000 from say a Xsara, 406, C3, C4, C5 be okay? I notice a lot of the COM2000's have stalks with Auto on the left for the AutoLights and the Auto on the right for the Wipers... Will this cause an issue for my non-Autolight/wiper car?
ANDDDD.... Seeing as though I'll end up with a COM2000 that has thes AutoStalks. Is it possible to fit the windscreen rain/light sensor on mine, rig it up to one of these fancy COM2000's and have the AutoLight/Wiper functions?
Or am I taking the p*** now?
Cheers!

Com unit needs to come from a 206!
You would need to change the windscreen for one that has the sensor bracket on BUT not worth bothering with if your car doesnt have the wiring loom present in the roof.
Try & avoid stalks with AUTO on them unless the car really does have the rain / light sensor fitted.

b******s. That makes life a LOT harder. Defo nothing but 206 Com2000?
Peugeot, if you're reading this I haaaaaaaaaate you.
Just so you know, I do have to change the Com2000 since the indicator stalk is fuggered - I'm not just trying to make life deliberately difficult for myself.
Windscreen needs to change anyway since it's got more chips in it than an average overweight american. Hence the question regarding autolights/wipers.
