There's a rubber trim that sits at the lower front part of my 206. The trim has rubber hooks along it which slot into slots along the lower front part of the car. The car is 10 years old now and some of the hooks have partially perished and, as a result, this trim keeps dropping down at one end. It's not a big deal, but I would like to replace it. However, I wondered if anyone knew how easy it was to replace without going to a garage. I would imagine sliding the hooks into the slots is easy enough, but there also appear to be little staple type pieces on the body of the car that attach into the trim as well.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

You dont really need that rubber trim.

Its only there to deflect airflow under the car & protect the bumper from high kerbs when parking.

Mine fell of about a year ago due to running over debris in the road, a decent staple gun & the correct staples will be able to attach the new trim to the lower edge of the bumper.

Thank, MrBSI. I know it's not essential, but would like to keep it looking smart. I'll have a look into sourcing the part first. Anyone got any idea what the correct name for the part is? I can't find it online!

Thanks, again. Think I'll hold off until the car's in the garage for something else before doing this. Will tear the old one off completely if it keeps dropping. The most annoying thing about it is that people keep stopping me in carparks and telling me that my bumper's hanging off...

Take this as an opportunity to put a splitter that fills the whole bumper on.
