Supercharger conversion has gone on the back burner for a while. Just had too much to do with all my other cars and toys to spend any time on it. Re-built it back to how it was for a track day at Donnington on the 13th. If anyone's there that day, pop over and say hi Smile

Hi Steven.
Sorry to revive your topic.
I've done a similar conversion to my 206gti using a non-intercooled eaton m62 setup. Unfortunately you will not squeeze too much outta your engine with the M45, you need to go big with M62 or M90.
Modifications were done to almost all car systems (exhaust, custom intake manifold - plenum-style with trumpet-like admission cones, reinforced clutch, 470cc injectors, custom belt, steering pump removal (switched to electric one), moved the throttle body, used Unichip piggyback, Bosch motorsport fuel pump, 63mm stainless steel exhaust, Quaife LSD etc etc). The car is now at about 208 HP@6600rpm and delivers constantly 240Nm from 1500 to 6500rpm. With this setup I have practically humiliated a Lotus Elise and a BMW 335i in drag races.
Biggest problem is HEAT. Too little space to place intercooler if aircon is kept. Will go to intercooler it this winter, if money are available (costs just for engine upgrade were about 4000 EUR if you want to do it seriously).
Setup runs at 0.8 bar with 2:1 pulley (custom aluminium one). With normal pulley only 0.4 bar were possible. With M45 results will be even less since it pumps less air per revolution and is dangerous to drive it over 14000 rpm if you use bigger engine pulley or smaller s/c one. It is also very dangerous to use standard pulley since it has rubber insertion and will not resist in time (s/c eats 30-40 HP at higher revs). Also for over 0.5 bar you need to decompress engine (used DP Engineering decompression plate).
You have a nice start here but more money are needed. I also think that supercharger may be too small for serious sensations.
I would like to attach pictures with dyno and engine but can't figure out the bloody button here.

well done on the car looks great..wondering if the quaife diff made a big difference on track??did it drop lap times by much??

In my case - no track. Car is for day use Very Happy However, lowering, strut bar and LSD are a must for 206, car is very unstable out of the factory. Will definitely decrease lap times since curves can be now entered with higher confidence with throttle on (off=suicide).
Compared with Golf 6 vanilla, 206 GTI is sh.ite when it comes to cornering. I also have a Golf 6 TFSI with DSG and using stock suspension and tyres, car is much safer Sad
206 GTI has OMP strut bar, Quaife ATB LSD, -40mm lowered suspension, Pirelli PZero Nero 205/40R17 tyres, OZ Racing GT 17" rims, Eibach Pro front springs, KYB ultra SR gas monotube sport shocks on front and back, 206RC rear suspension and Powerflex rear axle bushes. Yet still it is less stable than the Golf Sad
