Right so I have an X-reg (2001) 2.0 HDI.

I rarely go on long journeys to be honest, I mainly use it around town, to get to work and back, school runs, shopping etc.

But today I noticed it smoking rather a lot in high revs, I just wanted to know if this was about right.

It is due a yearly service, by about 2 months.

Anyway, have a look and if you could let me know if it's normal or not.

No idea what Youtube did to the video, it's made it look a bit weird.

Thanks.

But again, thanks for putting my mind at ease, it's the last thing I need right now.

Cheers.

Hi, Have same engine, running sweet so i thought, smoke, fumes, galore came out on emmisions test (MOT) very suprised as i do quite a bit of motorway traveling, failed miserably of course, so was advised to bang this stuff in diesel tank £11 and give it a good thrashing, low gears high revs, still failed, at this point i was getting worried, so as a last resort before hooking it up for a diagnostics, bought a can of 10k boost power restorer £25 you spray it through the air inlet, used half a can and gave it a good thrashing, and with great relief passed emissions test. Just a thought if your worried about the smoke.
