will be swaping my rear axle next week and just wanted to know if i can reuse the 4 bolts that hold it in?
also what torque are the bolts ment to go to?
is there anything i should replace while its off?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO - do not re-use the bolts. £7 will buy you four replacements from main dealer. Not worth re-tourquing old nuts.
Check out the brake lines and flexi hoses. Replace while off if needed - maybe handbrake cable. Everything else can be done on the deck fairly simply...

You can re-use the bolts because they aren't stretch bolts. New bolts are nicer though.

To labour a point, of course you can use the bolts, but any bolt that has been under tension for a long period (stretch or not) will be prone to weakness. Maybe I am just too old.. 
My point being, if you are taking them out, it is far better to replace as part of the course for the sake of £7 and peace of mind...

of course new bolts, better to renew brake pipe as well, bearings, giving the calipers a damn good rebuild, possibility getting new hubs as well.......etc
the list can go on forever.
you putting on carls axle??

thanks edward. for £7 i might aswell get new ones.
still shocked its just 4 bolts that hold the rear axle on 
also i will be swapping the front suspension is there anything there i should change while its off? just thinking best to do it now? car never came with alot of history and has done over 100.000 miles been told to check bearings? much else? plan on lowering abit so should i upgrade anything or just replace with pug stuff?

yes, took it off today and its nowhere near as bad as in the pics i posted! has new calipers an pads, even the bolts that held it in where near new. was thinking brake pipes, shall i just get pug ones or is there ny other brands plp go for? do not want spend to much

i didnt see it? does it have to be taken of correct? what happens if it is not? will check if my car has one before i take the axle off. its 52 plate would it have one?

need the vin to confirm.
unless you old car got ABS otherwise you should have one.
without one your rear will lock up very easily under braking

the rear axle is from abs car and my car is abs so should be ok? dont remember seeing that part?
how do i stop my brake fluid leaking out when i remove the old one?
