Hey guys, I've had a quick search and i think my clutch is slipping.I just need it confirmed as such.
Basically when i accelerate its like i am clutching and accelerating at same time and revs jump up a fair bit, it is like the clutch is sticking? Sometimes i have high idle on start up as well. Its starting to get worse so i better see what is what.
my car is a 1.4 8v verve 206. 06 plate
thanks in advance guys.

Sounds to me like your clutch is on its way out I beleive its what happened on mine.. I could plant my foot revs increase but no power at all. If so don't keep accelerating harsh your flywheel will go to.

I got a Valeo clutch kit from EuroCarParts for just under £80. Fitting you should be talking surely under £180... just dont rev to high take it easy as you dont want to damage your flywheel mate.

Don't forget to get your driveshaft oil seals replaced at the same time.
Had my clutch replaced last week as it had begun slipping. When the box was out, plenty of meat left on it, it had just gone like glass.
Managed to pick up an AC Delco clutch up for £50. Fewer fingers on the pressure plate, which has made the clutch pedal feel as light as a feather now. I got Cartoonhead to fit it and afterwards he said that it was lighter than the hydraulic clutch on his diesel lump. It looked like the clutch had been in since new (10 years), so it was ready for a replacement.
